Not every girl gets so lucky. Not every girl gets someone who takes her on adventures.
Not every girl gets flowers at her high school graduation, or on closing night of all the plays she’s in.
Not every dad can be silly with his daughters.
And not every dad can be quite so cool.
Not every dad still has “blond” hair at the age of 54.
And not every girl gets a first dance with such an awesome guy on her wedding day.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, I’m glad I have you Dad. Every little girl needs a hero in her life, and you are one of mine. Thanks for everything and happy Father’s Day!
I love you, Daddy!
What about you, dear readers? Do you have a hero-dad too? Or some other special man in your life? Is your husband your hero to you and your kids? How are you celebrating Father’s Day this weekend? We’re across the country from my dad so we’ll just have to eat the bacon we make for him ourselves. Sorry about that, Dad. I hope someone closer to you makes you some bacon. Until then, consider this post your virtual-bacon – well done and amazing.
